Part-Time & Fast Track Courses

Part-time and fast track certificate courses are available throughout the year. The course content is the same as the intensive four week course and successful trainees will be awarded the Trinity College TESOL Certificate.


The part-time and fast track courses start with three intensive days. After that classes are held either on

• Tuesday evenings from 6.00pm - 9.30pm or
• Thursday mornings 10.00am - 1.30pm

The timetables for the Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings are the same. This means that if necessary, you can attend either session. There is a great deal of flexibility of timetabling for the part-time course.

The fast track course requires trainees to also attend every Monday plus three Saturdays during the 8 weeks.

Teaching practice takes place on a limited number of weekdays. There are six hours of teaching practice on the certificate course. Every effort will be made to arrange your teaching practice schedule to fit in with your existing commitments but you will need to be available during the day for teaching practice on these limited number of occasions. On some Saturday mornings preceding teaching practice, tutors will be available to assist with teaching practice preparation.

The start dates of the part-time and fast track courses are:

• October 2nd 2010 to 16th February 2011 part-time
• October 30th 2010 to 15th December 2010 fast track
• February 5th 2011 to 25th May 2011 part-time
• March 19th 2011 to 17th May 2011 fast track
