Part-Time Day & Evening Courses

Part-time day and evening certificate courses are available throughout the year. The course content is the same as the intensive four week course and successful trainees will be awarded the Trinity College TESOL Certificate.


The part-time courses start with an intensive three day course. After the three intensive days, classes are held either on

• Tuesday evenings from 6.15pm - 9.30pm or
• Thursday mornings 10.00am - 1.15pm

The timetables for the Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings are the same. This means that if necessary, you can attend either session. There is a great deal of flexibility of timetabling for the part-time course.

Teaching practice takes place on a limited number of weekdays. There are six hours of teaching practice on the certificate course. Every effort will be made to arrange your teaching practice schedule to fit in with your existing commitments but you will need to be available during the day for teaching practice on these limited number of occasions. On some Saturday mornings preceding teaching practice, tutors will be available to assist with teaching practice preparation.

The start dates of the part-time course are:

• October 4th 2008 (16 weeks)
• October 25th 2008 (8 weeks)
• January 24th 2009 (16 weeks)
